Thanks to etsy (and instructions I came across on stumbleupon) I discovered a deep need to learn how to crochet with plastic bags. I started with a small purse for my cell phone, then a larger day to day purse. And then I needed an even bigger challenge - and I remembered I needed a laptop bag.
I don't carry my laptop around much, but now that I have a wireless USB attachment (my laptop is *supposed* to have its own wireless capabilities but they died) I can take it places, like when I'm working on my project at the Lyman entomological collection on campus.
It took me at least 10 hours to complete, I'm not really sure. Through estimation I tried to make it the right size, and tried to find as many colorful plastic bags as I could. I like making a ribbed pattern, which I get by crocheting only through the back loops. I then made a lining out of some adorable frog print fabric and added a zipper.
I really should have taken some "in progress" photos, perhaps I will for the next crochet adventure I embark upon.
